Rolex Place Vendome: the 'flagship' french of the Genevan brand

After having settled in September 2007 at the bottom of the rue de Rennes, on the left bank, Rolex now opens the doors of its second shop in Paris, on the right bank this time. The Genevan brand in relation to the family business Dubail is hereby established this summer at 9 of the Place Vendome a few kilometers from the Ritz, in an exclusive setting entirely devoted to the brand's collections. In the heart of the capital, a total immersion in the fabulous world of Rolex.

Housed in the Hotel de Villemare, a mansion built in the 18th century by J. Hardouin-Mansart, architect of Louis XIV to design the Place Vendome, this new Replica Rolex store enjoys an exceptional environment. The shop, whose facades are now classified historical monument, traverse part building share and extends over a total area of 400 m2 divided into three levels.

Relying on strong elements of the Visual identity of Rolex, Geneva interior architects have designed all the functional and aesthetic aspects of the point of sale, by following the guidelines of the architectural Charter of the brand.

The main entrance is accessed by an imposing gate, witness of the time where carriages pulled by horses came and went on the square until the markets of noble residences. When it captures the majestic solid bronze door of entry decrease and advance on the green marble floor, the visitor realizes and that it enters the Lair of the Genevan brand.

Home spaces, exhibition and sale rub shoulders on the ground floor, wall showcases and leather sheathed ornamental elements. These are freely inspired by classic sets of Parisian heritage, such as friezes, tendrils and arabesques.

The sweetness of beige leather, the nobility of the Guatemala called green marble and warm notes of bronze and wood of Platanus play harmonious arrangements in a range of colours and carefully selected materials.

Water and the sea, themes dear to Rolex, the inventor of the watch, are represented through the Aqua glass and his drawing of waves in transparency. A vertical sand color expresses the same leitmotiv, evoking pleated underwater terrain.

At the other end of the room, the light floods a spiral staircase made of glass, bronze and marble, which rolls up to the upper and lower levels. Along this surge in markets, a monumental decorated wall of a mosaic-patterned Jubilee (one of the types of bracelet of the mark) through the three floors.

On the first floor, a private dining room made of wood paneling, plush furniture and leather dress walls receives guests in an elegant and intimate atmosphere, sublimated by views of Place Vendome. Visible through a Bay window, a carefully arranged and equipped service workshop perfectly complements infrastructure.

In the basement of the mansion, a vast space of sale to hushed atmosphere presents in the form of gallery a rich selection of watches. In the annex, a rotunda stone reflects the architecture of the 18th century and magnifies the exhibition. It houses around its unique central pillar a series of small windows arranged in a circular manner.
